Health Ministries Commission

Requirements

• Membership in Holy Trinity Parish
• An active interest in health issues with a willingness to stay current with resources and trends related to a health and healing ministry
• Knowledge of and compliance with Scope and Standards of Parish Nursing as established by the American Nursing Association
• Attendance at meetings
• Collaboration with Pastor, staff liaison and other commissions

Responsibilities

Participation in or coordination of:

• Blood pressure, preschool vision and other health screenings as appropriate
• Educational programs
• Special events such as parish blood drive, health fairs, etc.
• Bereavement and visitation ministries
• Surveys of parishioners regarding interests and needs
• Prayer shawls
• Bulletin boards
• Educational articles
• First aid
• Health and wellness programs
