Some of the special liturgies planned by the Liturgy Commission:
- Anointing Masses
- Evening Prayer
- Mass of the Faithful Departed
- Thanksgiving Mass
- Trinity Sunday celebration
Liturgy Commission
Requirements
- Membership in Holy Trinity Parish
- An active interest in liturgy
- Willingness to stay current in liturgical documents and understanding
- Knowledge of liturgical guidelines as established by local church and Rome
- Attendance at no less than 7 of the 10 scheduled meetings each year
- Collaboration with Pastor, Music Director and Art and Environment Coordinator
Responsibilities
Participation and coordination of:
- Training for Eucharistic ministers
- Communication with Eucharistic ministers
- Preparation of sanctuary for liturgical celebrations
- Creation of subcommittee (as needed)
- Review and evaluation of liturgy
- Weekday Mass servers (lector, server, sacristan)
- Funeral servers
Advice and recommendations to parish staff regarding:
- Music
- Changes in celebrations
- Readings
- General guidelines regarding liturgy at Holy Trinity
